Welcome to GLE3O9!
I thought that I would try a new way to practice our writing. Something that is fun and interactive and if you have unlimited data on your phone very convenient. I will regularly post topics here for you to comment on. You may do so during class time or on your own. While I am not going to be super strict on spelling and grammar please remember that we are focusing on improving our literacy skills and also if I can't understand it, I can't mark it. We will all be able to read each others posts. You should all respond to my initial blog but feel free to comment on what your classmates write as well. Please remember that we are all learning together and you must always respect your peers and keep your posts appropriate for the school environment.
First topic: BLOGGING
Have you ever blogged before? Do you read blogs? What do you think of using blogs as a way to improve your writing skills and earn marks?
i have blogged before and i do read blogs, but not blogs like this. i think blogs are a great way to improve our writing skills in class because its the new way of learning, its up to date. its easier then writing because its typing and alot of teen use computers more then they use paper and pens.
ReplyDeleteI've actually never blogged before, and I've never read blogs before, I guess will now. I guess being able to go your work on-line to improve you writing skills to earn marks is much more fun to do. it gets boring after a while when you just got to write with a pencil on paper.

ReplyDeleteyes I have blogged before i actually even have my own blog, check it out at www.tyrefairfax.blogspot.com. yes i read blogs for sports and home work. I believe blogging is a much more interesting and easier way to learn. These days teens and students are doing everything over the internet, so its easy to be and facebook and click the next tab to complete assignments.

Unfortunately I have not blogged before this would happen to be my first time, nor have I been around to read blogs. I believe that by using blogs it will improve my ways of writing skills and earn marks because computers usually spell check if there are errors. It also is much more easier as for kids of are generation now are always on the computer or on there phones. There for at anytime or day us students should be able to complete work without stress about handing it in during class.

ReplyDeleteAmazing first posts everyone. I am not going to mark each and everyone one but rather your improvement over the course, your best postings and how you participate and use this activity to improve your skills. I will give you a marking rubric next week so you know what I expect.
ReplyDeleteno, I don't think I have ever blogged before. no I do not read blogs that often. I think that blogs are a pretty helpful for anyone to gain some marks.
